To avoid getting fat, just eat! If you miss out on meals, your body will remember it and you'll eventually crack up! It's better to eat small quantities several times a day. Did you know that Thai people, who are often very thin, eat more than 6 times a day. If you peruse the streets of Bangkok, you'll see people eating at all hours of the day and night. Skipping meals may seem easy at the start, but it will just get more and more difficult as time goes by. Know that your body spends energy and therefore burns calories every time you eat. This is called thermogenesis. So, on average, for every 100 calories consumed, our body will burn 5 to 10 calories in digesting these foods. For proteins, it's even higher: the body spends up to 30 calories to digest the equivalent of one hundred calories consumed from protein.
